The project was for building an airport for the Jamaican Airports Authority. In the project, buildings in the airport were built new, renovated or rehabilitated. The work included equipping both the land and air segments of the existing field and construction of concrete slab areas for parking and operations.

Brief description of the construction process

The renovation and rehabilitation of the existing buildings was carried out using normal work methods. The supply of materials and their importation was a complex logistical challenge due to the large size of the work site – about 60,000 square meters. Casting the concrete slab areas required importation of special equipment from the Netherlands.
