Project Description
The project consists of a 2-floor server farm, located above 2 basement levels, serving as a data center. The aboveground structure comprises a ground floor, gallery, roof, and rooftop with an area of about 3,378 sqm. This section includes technical areas, offices, and storage spaces. The two underground basement floors include technical areas and a server farm with a total area of about 8,804 sqm.
Data center services also include designated hosting areas built specifically for the clients, providing Disaster Recovery Plan (DRP) and Business Continuity Plan (BCP) capabilities for recovery from failures and full business continuity for the organizations’ central processes.
Site construction in a nutshell
Framework was erected using two tower cranes, while insulation work was performed simultaneously. Framework and insulation work on the basement floor and preparations for one-sided walls were conducted simultaneously with the existing shoring walls. Later on, the concrete columns, internal construction walls and reinforced concrete ceiling were built.
The data center was predesigned according to characteristic requirements for buildings of this type, meeting Tier 3 Uptime international regulations. The site provides all electrical, air conditioning, and energy infrastructures required for optimal operation of IT and communication systems. The site is manned, surveilled, and monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and is secured by several advanced tools and tiers such as a sensor-intensive system and biometric means.
