Project Description
The project comprises three 5-floor buildings (above ground level) and 112 residential units, including 1-4 bedroom apartments and a few penthouses, and two basement levels in each building. The complex’s aboveground area is about 14,750 sqm and the basement area is about 5,900 sqm.
The complex is located in Ramat Aviv HaYeruka’s new residential compound, and is designed in keeping with the neighborhood’s pastoral character. It is close to many gardens and green areas, leisure, recreation and culture centers, shopping centers (Ramat Aviv Mall within walking distance), the beach, Tel Aviv University, community services, sports centers, country club, and more.
Construction in complex topography
Bart is a complex project due to the topographic layout of the worksite. It is a two-way narrow street, with parking spots on both sides of the road. A supermarket is located at the top of the street, with trucks frequently blocking the road to unload merchandise, making access and transport to the worksite difficult.
Work included disconnecting infrastructure and demolishing existing buildings – 3 buildings with 3 floors each – and uprooting, relocating and preserving the existing trees.
The project commenced with excavation work – from surface level to a depth of 7.5 meters – and groundwater pumping. The ground type was layers of clay sand with varying fines contents. This work as well as all later work – installation of internal systems, finishing work, and landscape development – was conducted with the utmost professionalism and safety that characterizes Ashtrom Contracting.
