Project Description
The hotel was first opened to the public in 2002, and had undergone major renovations about 15 years later. The hotel’s crowning glory is the serpentine pool, with “on the water” rooms. The pool branches out to narrower sections that pass through the open central area between the buildings, some reaching all the way to the luxurious “on the water” rooms on the ground floor.
The hotel has three wings built around a central area. The main wing includes the lobby, the event hall, the mega bar that is open to the public, and the dining room on the building’s lower level. The hotel’s other wings contain 288 rooms on the ground floor and the 3 upper floors, with the great serpentine pool in the center.
Other services and facilities available are a children’s pool, kids club, spa, gym, electric vehicle charging stations, and free parking according to availability.
Hotel structure and design
The hotel was built on a 20,000-sqm lot around a central courtyard. The main wing, containing the common areas such as reception, lobby, restaurants and stores, faces the street.
The renovated rooms were designed with natural materials and light colors. The wall to wall rugs were replaced with light-toned granite porcelain flooring, and the walls were painted in gentle shades of white and light-blue. Renovations in the common areas included a redesign of the lobby and cultivating tropical vegetation at the hotel entrance, complementing the hotel’s concept.
Ashtrom Contracting, via its subsidiary Ashtrom Engineering & Construction, maintained meticulous planning, high standards of execution, and repair of construction deficiencies throughout the project.
