Ashtrom Properties with other partners is initiating and developing the Afcon project. The logistics center currently built on the land will be replaced by a very large bustling complex for young people that will have a broad mix of retail, office and residential uses. The complex will be special also due to its strategic location: a short distance from Ben Gurion University of the Negev. This location will attract young people and connect the business center of the city to neighborhoods undergoing renewal.
Project Information
The Afcon project, the "Young Complex", will be established on an area of 14 dunams. It will be built on an especially attractive location: east of Neighborhood C, across the street from Gershfeld Street, in an area not characterized by extensive mixed uses. In this area, we are planning retail and employment spaces, entertainment and recreation venues and hundreds of housing units including student dormitories and apartments for young couples. This project is an embodiment of Ashtrom Properties vision of creating a convenient and special living environment to suit every need around the clock.
A place to enjoy living and growing
We are planning to develop the existing streets and infrastructure around Afcon with the foresight that the entire complex will merge into a smart urban space containing a variety of services that will provide all what residents and tenants of all ages and financial status need. As with every other Ashtrom Properties property, the quality of service will be at the heart of the concept of the Young Complex.
Our project will flow into a sequence of green spaces and will contribute to the flourishing of the green environment – to the benefit of pedestrians and the residents of the neighboring streets. The project will feature a retail floor at the level of the adjacent streets and an employment floor will be one floor above it, just below the residential towers.
